The museum is very excited to announce the first 'Chase BookFest', being held on Saturday 21st September, 10am - 4pm. Showcasing popular women’s fiction and crime, by local authors and those further afield.

The day will include 'Meet and Sign' sessions with authors, Waterstones pop up book store, author readings, Q&A panels (Crime/Thriller and popular women's fiction), Tea & Conversation sessions with an author, book paraphernalia stalls and drop in book craft workshops.

Admission costs £3.00, tickets can be purchased in advance by ringing 01543 877666. The admission ticket includes entry to our prize draw which has exciting prizes such as signed books, book bundles and an afternoon tea voucher! You can increase your chances of winning, and support the event by buying further draw tickets on the day.

Once you have purchased your admission ticket you can then book onto any extra activities you wish to attend. Tickets will then be posted to you. Please ring 01543 877666 as places are limited for certain activities within the event.

Tea and Conversation with an author.
An intimate audience to listen to how an author works and their inspiration, cost £5, includes tea/coffee and cake. Runs for one hour. Maximum 20 people.

Q&A Panels
Listen to the debate of four authors about their genre, cost £3, run time 1 hour and 15 minutes.
10.30am Thriller Panel - Sue Watson, Laura Pearson, Sheryl Browne and Rob Sinclair.
12.15pm Women's Fiction 1 - Miranda Dickinson, Phillipa Ashley, Pam Howes and Nicola May.
2.00pm Women's Fiction 2 - Cathy Bramley, Emma Cooper, Anouska Knight and Tilly Tennant.

If spaces allow you can book onto any of the above on the day if they have not sold out.

Throughout the day there will be timetabled author readings and meet and sign sessions. These do not need to be booked onto, but will only happen once at the allotted time. You will be posted a timetable if you book in advance, or given one if you purchase your entry ticket on the day.

Prize draw, Waterstones pop up book store, a variety of stalls and book crafts.

Minimum age 12 years.
